Water is one of the Five Elements in BaZi and Chinese philosophy. It represents depth, wisdom, and flow.
The nature of Water
"Water runs deep in your chart — vast, wise, impossible to fully know."
Water is the energy of depth, wisdom, and flow. Like the ocean or a deep river, Water moves around obstacles, wears down mountains through persistence, and holds mysteries in its depths. It's the philosopher, the mystic, the one who knows without knowing how.
In the Five Elements cycle:
- Water is created by Metal (condensation, flow)
- Water creates Wood (water nourishes growth)
- Water is controlled by Earth (earth dams water)
- Water controls Fire (water extinguishes fire)
